In view of this, the problem posed by this monograph was: Despite its aim of curbing the high incidence of traffic accidents, has the Dry Law (Law No. 11.705/08) really had an effect, especially with regard to the crime of drunken driving, a crime with the greatest repercussions on society? In order to answer the problem in question, the general objective of this monograph was to investigate drunken driving in terms of the requirements for the configuration of the crime. In order to produce this work, bibliographical research was carried out on published materials that deal with the subject in question, by renowned authors in the field.
