The general objective of this book was to understand the role of memory in the identity reconstruction and resocialization of Angolans in a situation of refuge in the city of Rio de Janeiro, understanding refuge as a subcategory of the identity of the subjects in this condition. To this end, interviews were carried out with Angolan refugees, which allowed us to better understand the social and political issues at the origin of the problem, as well as the common and particular situations to which they were subjected. The research also included participant observation with networks of the Angolan community residing in the city which, through access to different daily social events and the celebration of dates relevant to this people, made it possible to analyze the activities and conduct of the target public. research, resulting in a better understanding of the collective feelings and behaviors of this community. Along with these actions, a specific bibliography was articulated, which allowed the mobilization of different authors and approaches to themes.Master in Political Sociology.
