Introduction: The older adult undergoes physiological changes propitiating accidents at home that cause complications.Objective: To determine the efficacy of an educational program to prevent accidents at home in older adults. Methods: A pre-experimental, prospective intervention study was carried out in the CMF15, belonging to the Jose Ramon Leon Acosta polyclinic, Santa Clara municipality, from June 2022 to March 2024. With a population of 215 older adults, selected with a non-probabilistic intentional sampling, the sample consisted of 52 older adults who met the inclusion criteria. An educational program structured in two stages was designed and applied. Conclusions: The educational program was effective in raising the level of information and changes in the mode of action.information and changes in the way older adults acted to prevent accidents in the home.to prevent accidents at home.
