Geoindicators of Environmental Change in Hydroelectric Projects: A Reading of the Historical Geography of the Landscape - Rio do Peixe I and II SHP (1925-2016) - Volume III deals with significant issues for the assessment of impacts and short-cycle environmental changes linked to the implementation of hydroelectric projects. Through the use of Detailed Geomorphological Cartography and methodological procedures derived from the Integrated Environmental Assessment of Hydroelectric Projects, measurements and evaluation of indices, parameters and indicators of the physical environment are carried out in order to understand the magnitude and occurrence of impacts arising from the installation of one of the first hydroelectric projects in the state of Sao Paulo (PCH Rio do Peixe I), dating back to 1925. This same project was later expanded, resulting in the Rio do Peixe II SHPP in 1998. In this way, it was possible to assess the accumulated transformations in the landscape in the area directly affected by these two hydroelectric projects over 91 years of history, which resulted in a true reading of the Historical Geography of the Landscape.
