This book presents a recovery of the philosophy of Aristotle, Thomas Aquinas, Roger Bacon and Francis Bacon on the philosophy of science, whose author presents the three so-called methodological worlds: old, new and brand new worlds. The old world is based on Aristotelian philosophy due to the influence of the Greek deductive with the syllogisms of language. The new world is based on the search for universal laws with Thomistic thinking and the influence of Rene Descartes. The brand new world is the power of place and the geographical scale of the place in the face of the proof of facts by experimental and inductive science. In the final chapters, the author relates Alexander Von Humboldt's proposal for the importance of fieldwork in getting to know our object of study and the awakening of the adventurous spirit reconciled with the contemporary analytical reason of access to information. The author entitled the book "Vow of Poverty" because of the relationship between his surname and the Catholic saint Francis and the financial difficulties faced by teachers today.
