Higher heritability coupled with high genetic advance was recorded for biological yield per plant, grain yield per plant indicating that these characters are governed by additive gene action and hence direct selection for these traits will increase grain yield through genetic improvement in wheat. Significant positive correlation was observed for grain yield/plant with biological yield/plant, harvest index, spike length, spike weight, number grains per spike, number of tillers per plant. Hence selection for these characters may be utilized for the improvement of grain yield. The genotypes from clusters VI and IV, cluster VIII and III, cluster VIII and VII, cluster VII and V are used for crossing. The advanced breeding lines TAW 155 and RVW 7007 have stable yield and its componentwhich are produced using the stability model i.e., Elbert and Russell model & AMMI model.Out of 34 genotypes, TAW 155 and RVW 2019-26 lines have high content for protein, total sugar, non reducing sugar, reducing sugar, wet gluten and dry gluten.
