GAGAN He was up to the top of the hill, which had on him the chapel of the Ai Thanasis, wishing to worship. He looked down. The lake lay in front of him calm, quiet, imposing and beautiful. In the distance he saw the breeze from the Sea and the traps. He stamped in his minds the steps of the guards and followed with his eyes, the small passages that had been created by their patrols around a lake. From such a height, he could distinguish the backs of the fish, in the glare of the sun, and could see their flocks move in comfort, to the right and to the left. So wonderful lake, had never seen before. He was at many hours enchanted. Perhaps he was the only one fisherman that was enchanted by a lake. There in front of the chapel of Ai Thanasis, it was like giving her an eternal oath of loyalty. An immense love, that he would hold for the rest of his life.
