Against the background of a society that is changing in terms of religion and socialization, this volume deals with theodicy’s childish coping strategies. The focus of the work is on the qualitative-empirical analysis of a method-triangulating research process (image, interview and video analysis) with 7- to 11-year-olds. The subjects of the study lay out a media document based on the Job Book. The final theses of the work operationalize children’s theological interpretations of the test subjects. The children’s theological interpretations of the Job Book are contrasted with non-theological interpretations. The author interprets this against the background of the research-guiding religious sociological assumptions of the work, but due to its consequence and validity, the extensive research section is also a practical guide for functioning research with children in general.
