Sozialwissenschaftliche Perspektiven auf den Holocaust sind stets mit Paradoxien konfrontiert, die dem Forschungsgegenstand geschuldet sind. Eva Gros stellt diese Paradoxien anhand einer exemplarischen Analyse dar und legt sie der Entwicklung eines Modells zur systematischen Bestimmung sozialwissenschaftlicher Bezugnahmen auf den Holocaust zugrunde. Die Autorin analysiert vorliegende Ansatze entlang der jeweiligen Perspektivierungen von Taterschaft, der Frage nach Moral und den identifizierten Implikationen des Holocaust als traumatisches Ereignis. Anhand der bisher nicht eingeloesten Strukturierung sozialwissenschaftlicher Perspektiven auf den Holocaust werden diese als selbstreflexive Versuche erkennbar, geeignete Zugange zu entwickeln und dem Holocaust als Forschungsgegenstand gerecht zu werden.
