Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Philosophie - Theoretische (Erkenntnis, Wissenschaft, Logik, Sprache), Note: 3,0, Europa-Universitat Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder), Veranstaltung: Wahrheitstheorien, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: One of the most recurrent and popular problems in the philosophical and scientific discourse is the quest for truth. In this paper I stressed the fact that the absolute truth can only be defined in a reciprocal relationship with language, reality and perception. I came to the conclusion, that all the subjective theories of truth cannot fulfill this premise. Only the correspondence theory of truth has the potential to reach a higher state of knowledge. Even, if still none of the philosophers and scientist has exhaustively explained the mentioned, complicated relationship, there are still attempts to reach this goal. But is the absolute truth not only a myth?
