The poems and verses written in this book are largely inspired by the author's experiences in Southern Peru in the Andes Mountains. She saw the miraculous birth of her two sons in that hazardous situation.(the youngest appears with his wife and baby illustrated in the book. Having seen, the breath of life being given to all four children and also even to a tiny bird which she had tried to save, only to see its heart stop beating and life flicker away from it. Many of these incidents lead her to write poems about life and all its challenging experiences; a memorable one being, "There's a miracle in movement that defies the mind of man, where did that first breath come from; where did it all begin?
