A physical wall divides these two groups, representing a barrier to social mobility and opportunity. China's invasion, the development of intelligent robotics, and the lack of clean water due to a warming planet has forced most of society out of the suburbs and into cities where unemployment is high, water is scarce, and the escalation of tensions is boiling.

In this divided world, a young woman named Leena Zhen is forced to confront the oppressive power structure in a desperate attempt to save her dying mother.
