2020 Writing from Inlandia

The year began as any other. Sure, there had already been whispering on the news about a novel coronavirus taking hold half a world away, but the odds of it affecting us in the United States were… slim? Roll forward to present and we have a new shared lexicon: Masks. Social distancing. Zoom. Quarantine. COVID-19. Inlandia’s workshops moved from in-person to a virtual setting, but we would not be deterred. This year’s anthology represents the hope and vision of 62 writers, a mix of returning and new participants, from the region and beyond-because with Zoom, geographic boundaries dissolved. The Writing from Inlandia series was created to celebrate the participants in our creative writing workshops program and to serve as a record of who we are at the present moment.
