Hoa Nguyen’s latest collection is a poetic meditation on historical, personal, and cultural pressures pre- and post- Fall-of-Saigon and comprises a verse biography on her mother, Diep Anh Nguyen, a stunt motorcyclist in an all-woman Vietnamese circus troupe.
