Father’s Road: The First Trade Routes (China)

Travel with Wong Chung as he accompanies his father along the ancient trading route, the Silk Road. Through this story young readers can learn about the origins of trading and the concept of commerce. They will also learn about China and the rich history of the Silk Road.

This unique series introduces children to economic concepts, as well as history, geography and culture through well written stories illustrated by artists around the globe. A variety of story telling techniques are used, and each story is set in a different country and introduces a different economic concept.
