I, From Nothing

I, from Nothing was originally published in Portuguese as Eu, do Nada. It is based on the true story of a family who named their farm Nothing and who have lived in a so-named place for over two centuries. It is the story of Luisa, made of Nothing, born Matilde in 1911.

It is the story of a country intersecting in the rural daily life of a large house of wine and bread, surviving invasions, cyclones, dictatorships, ghosts and others animals, surviving the pain and the loss of time after time. Will Nothing survive Luisa? Or will Luisa become a replica of Maxima, the Lady who lives in the towering distance of the second floor of Casa do Nada?
