Eventful Days

Eventful Days, a three act play with a single set, ideal for amateur or semi-professional drama societies. It uses the same cast of characters and the same set as Derek’s previous play, Eventful Weekend, but naturally with a different story. The play eschews strong language and sexual innuendo.

Following the funeral of Lady Barbara Maitland, family and friends gather at her home, Stanbourne Place. Paul Beresford and Julia are now married, Chris and Tanya have just returned from a honeymoon in Wyoming.

An American guest seems totally out of place and subsequent events confirm suspicions that he is a character not to be trusted. The next few days are full of incident and excitement as the family seek to cope with the crisis and plan for a better future.
