After a recurrence of childhood cancer leads to a life altering surgery, Jesse finds solace in his best friends as they guide him on the path to recovery. It’s the summer before their senior year and all he wants to think about is their next pool day, that is, until Lydia comes along. With a newfound love of listening, her laugh captivates him, her touch an escape, distracting him from the dark corners of his new reality.

But as summer comes to a close and they must face the hurricane of senior year, Jesse finds that he’s at risk of losing more than he can handle.
