Beach Ball Blunder

Cray and crew are back for another adventure. Their friend Seal Gray loves to spin his beach ball, but when his ball spins out of control he has to make a quick decision on what he should do.

It can be difficult to confess when you know you’ve done something wrong, but this is a perfect story to open conversations about honesty and learning from mistakes. Young audiences will develop empathy as they see different points of view and how actions have consequences. With endearing characters, sublime illustrations, and fun rhyming text, it’s hard not to enjoy Cray and friends. G Pa has created yet another perfectly crafted story, and Erica has again expertly brought that story to life with her stunning illustrations. In Beach Ball Blunder, G Pa communicates a powerful and important message in terms that young children can easily wrap their minds around. Erica’s illustrations are intricate, clever, and expertly communicate the nuanced emotions that G Pa’s characters are expressing throughout the story. This book should be in every elementary classroom and on every child’s bookshelf, and I consider it a valuable addition to ours.
