What if you had a second chance to right the evil you created in the past with a new life. Two Faces of a Patriot is a unique and powerful ‘what if’ novel that combines adventure, new tech, politics and a bit of a love story to keep you entertained as it presents an impending course of events, created by serious wrongdoings in the past, that must be averted at any cost. The main story is set primarily in the near-future, at a time when paranoia, control and power have changed virtually everything in American society and social engineering has severely limited nearly every personal freedom. With all that has changed, by 2035, tensions have risen dramatically. Sides have been taken. Lines have been drawn. There is the face of good and the face of evil. Only one prevails.
It’s been a long time since 1984 came out. Every few years, though, someone comes up with some ideas that kind of play off of that. This is one of those stories. Two Faces of a Patriot deals with a future in which social engineering is moving in such ways that it is impinging on human freedom and actually proposes solutions to the problems that we’re facing. And that’s what intrigues me about this. And that’s why I recommend this book and give it five stars. David Farland, New York Times bestselling author Two Faces of a Patriot is a compelling novel for our time.
