When 8th grader Tam Burkowski was in his final year of middle school, he didn't really have that many friends. He wasn't well-liked, and well, he was sort of a dork. But when one of his friends who was a sort of jock gave him an opportunity to become freshman team manager for the football team, he couldn't resist. Once he arrived at summer camp for football, the players are distancing themselves. However, over time, he grows on them as more and more managers join up with the team.
