This book is about a little frog named Philomena who tries hard to succeed in school but deals with many negative thoughts about herself, her friends, her emotions, and her life. She is an intelligent little frog who mostly enjoys life in her lily pad village. At first, she is frustrated with her life, but through encouragement, support, and a paradigm shift, she begins to look at life differently and changes her attitude to I like it a lot!
Many of the fun words in this story have moved out of fashion and take us back in the evolution of language. I enjoyed these words in my childhood and have enjoyed bringing them to print for a new generation of children. The character of Philomena is based on my own childhood feelings, as well as the feelings I observed in children during my teaching career.
