This, and a hundred of such half baked commitments from the government brought this hustling city and the entire country to its knees. Endless horror stories of migrant labourers being run over by trains while asleep on platforms, crematoriums fuller than the kumbh mela, the holy Ganges overflowing with dead bodies, became a part of the last year of our lives.

This book is an attempt to question why did we have to face what we did? Was it really unavoidable? If not, who should be held accountable for this mess?
