Our story, The Whimsical Journey, is inspired from a recent painting. After Gail finished a canvas rug, her grandson, Dominic, would point to all the different characters in the painting, and a story came to her imagination. This is a journey where two animals meet each other and travel down a river, meeting companions along the way, and talking about the beauty of Mother Nature. She hopes this book will lead children to use their imaginations to create their own worlds of fantasy. On a personal note, this creative process has inspired new paintings and possible stories for the future.
