This book is primarily a journal, reproduced from notes preserved meticulously over more than half a century by Walter Imahara and his wife Sumile (Sumi). The story begins in 1903, the year Walter’s father was born in California, and extends up to the present year, 2021. Walter and Sumi provide a nearly year-by-year accounting of the major events of their lives, with dozens of photos and other illustrations that help bring the stories to life.
