As the field of medicine is rapidly advancing day by day, it is no secret that we have to UPDATE OURSELVES OR BE OUTDATED. This book, primarily meant for MS/DNB general postgraduates is written with the same goal. To help our budding surgeons to learn the basics of what will be the future in some years’ time and get the understanding required about laparoscopy and build on it to become talented laparoscopic surgeons later. The author being a part of a well-known Gov. Hospital for more than 25 years, knows the exact amount of teaching an average postgraduate receives in his/her 3 years training period and the dilemmas faced later when they step out to practice in the real world, where mistakes are not allowed. Indeed this book is written in the author’s own words and many diagrams are hand-drawn to make the subject more lively and simple to the students, yet deliver the knowledge required to set up a laparoscopic OT and operate on their own.
