Invisible Influence

Spencer Graves is an ordinary man who works as a civil servant for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Census Bureau. He has his share of joy-his two children, Natalie and Logan-and difficulty-a custody battle and divorce settlement with his soon-to-be-ex-wife. But when he attends an economics conference in Paris, he has no idea what’s in store for him. He meets a fascinating Frenchwoman and spends the week with her in a passionate affair instead of attending the conference workshops as planned.

When he returns to the United States, he believes he’s left the affair behind, and his life returns to normal-until he receives a phone call at work.
