Many of the men of Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, arrived in Vietnam ?green as green can be? to a place ?they couldn't have found on a map.? They were largely ?transported to Vietnam as individuals, rather than as units,? but, through intense fighting at places like Hamburger Hill, ?a trust was developed between the men.?
