Early in her marriage, Judi Braddy’s comfortable life in sunny California was knocked off course by the cold north winds of Alaska. Her husband was presented with the opportunity to pastor a church in a tiny, isolated, Alaskan fishing village on Chichagof Island. It was a move he felt called to make and one she never saw coming. But as Judi soon discovered, it’s often the discomfort of real, raw life that teaches us what it means to totally depend on the Lord.
In this engaging book, Judi tells the story of their Alaskan experience and recalls the out-of-the-ordinary people and predicaments she and her husband encountered. With humor and refreshing honesty, Judi shares how she has applied these important lessons throughout her life and offers you the true north points she has discovered. Points, she explains, set on the compass of life that help us keep our bearings–even through life’s most battering storms.
Her exciting narrative will not only give you a glimpse of life in an Alaskan fishing village, but will also help you secure your bearings as you navigate life’s unexpected turns.
