This book tells a true story of the struggle of a special needs young lady who from birth has many obstacles on her journey; however, by the help of God and her strong determination, she survived all odds. It was predicted that she would not live to be sixteen; however, she is now an adult in her thirties and enjoying life to its fullest. Regardless of her disabilities, she is very smart, loving, and kind. She loves and enjoys her family. She knows each member of her family and caregivers through touching and smelling. She is always aware of her surroundings. As the mother of this special young lady, I felt a deep sense of sadness when I realized that I had rubella syndrome (German measles) in the early stage of my pregnancy due to the doctors misdiagnosis. Let us not lose sight and underestimate the power of our Heavenly Father. He uses situations that seemed impossible to us for his glory and his great and wonderful power. Helen Steiner Rice says that Gods love is like a harbor where our souls can find sweet rest from the struggle and the tension of lifes fast and futile quest.
