Spike & Lucy is an adventure story that takes place in the central Oregon coast with Grandpa Mac’s real twin step grandaughters. Cape Perpetua is a few miles south of where they live and one of the best hiking national parks in the country. Mac created the Kung-Fu Hiking Stick for a female neighbor who hiked alone in the Coast Range where there are black bear, cougars and other potentially dangerous animals. He has filed a provisional patent but on the back cover offers do-it-yourself instructions for non-commercial use, believing everyone who purchases a comic might want to make their own KFHS. You can purchase directly from the author for $32.50 + 12.00 S&H or make one yourself for $10.00 or less.
This fun and visually bright story for both children and adults presents fascinating insights to both hiking and martial arts. There is also a comic designed, accurate map of the main hiking trails at Cape Perpetua, located on the inside of the back cover.

A portion of the proceeds from this comic story goes into a college trust fund for the real Spike and Lucy.
