The White Spots family has just finished collecting and storing all the food they’ll need for the winter when tragedy strikes. Farmer Jones tears down the tree that all their food is stored in to use as firewood! With little time remains before the cold sets in, what are the White Spots to do?

J. M. Emswiller is an Emmy winning sound mixer for movies and television. He had over 30 years’ experience in the entertainment industry. When he was not on a motion picture project, Emswiller also worked as a state constable, serving his community.

Emswiller was an avid outdoorsman; his interests included gardening, fly fishing, shooting, hiking, camping, and motorcycling. As such, he was concerned about the environment and the creatures of the world, one of his motivations for writing Little White Spots. He lived outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with his wife.
