The market town of Banbury is a civil parish in Cherwell, the northernmost district of Oxford. Famous for the nursery rhyme ‘Ride a Cock Horse to Banbury Cross’ - which refers to one of the crosses destroyed by Puritans in 1600 - Banbury is a town full of history and charm.
