Record of the Buddhistic Kingdoms is a historical book written by Chinese Buddhist monk, Fa Hsien, in the 5th century. The book is a detailed account of the Buddhist kingdoms that existed in India, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia during the 4th and 5th centuries. Fa Hsien's journey to these kingdoms is described in the book, along with his observations of the people, culture, and religious practices of each kingdom.
