According to the Constitution the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly (Majlis) of Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan, Mr. Vasif Yusif oglu Talibov is the highest leader of the Autonomous Republic, who signs laws and decrees. Meanwhile the heads of the executive powers are appointed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan upon the recommendation of the Chairman of Supreme Assembly (Majlis) of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
