Dutch painter Jheronimus Bosch and his 16th century colourful triptych come into play when a professor's drowning raises age old questions about human nature and the choices we make when Felly returns to the classroom of Leiden University and her husband to a small Leiden law firm in the Netherlands. With both feet planted in boats adrift on fluid waters, the Tree Man is the antithesis of all that is on solid ground: of life, love and the roads travelled when mystery and intrigue are brought to Bosch's masterwork, "The Garden of Earthly Delights".
