Participation of United States Army Forces in the Central Pacific Area in Galvanic Operation, Part 1

The subject of this report is the participation by United States Army Forces in the Central Pacific Area, in the GALVANIC Operation against the Japanese held Gilbert Islands, in November, 1943. It shows the operational support by the USAFICPA and how the troops were designated, what equipment they received, how they were trained, what security precautions were taken, and how the logistical support was planned and accomplished.
