Amanda: Uit Het Leven Der Zinneloozen, Part 1 (1856)

This is a collection of poetry written over the years. The author has gotten her inspiration from her life experiences and from those close to her. As she grew up, she dealt with many heartbreaks that caused her pain, but she found that writing was a vent for her emotions. She found herself writing more after a failed marriage and when trying to cope with the death of her mother. Many people told her that her dream of becoming a writer was unattainableathat was just the motivation she needed, and it eventually led to the writing of her first book. With a dream in her heart, she sent out her work to a publisher, and now she is here today with what she hopes will be the start of a bright future. She is in the process of writing her second book and feels confident that she will have success with it as well.
