Trevor Raven is haunted by dreams of his first and only unfinished story ten years after he began writing it. Hoping to put an end to the unnerving dreams, he returns to the vacant family retreat-where it all began-to complete the manuscript. Upon his return, Trevor and his three closest friends unwittingly revive the Wild Magic in the stone pool and are mysteriously transported to Eternia, the world in his story. But things are not as he left them ten years earlier. The once-utopian world has taken a very disturbing turn for the worse. A great evil once contained beneath Shadowcast has escaped and threatens to extinguish all that is good from the world.
