Prison Poetry (1896)

C. David Lamb was eight years old when his holier-than-thou grana daddy, Moses Lamb, sat him on his knee. aBoy, you gotta keep your nose clean, stay outta hot water, and donat screw up.a C. David Lambas innocent-like mind tossed a few thoughts around in his skull. How can I keep my nose clean without picking it? How can I take a bath without hot water? I know diddly squat about sex and donat understand how I can screw up. His grana daddyas pioneering and adventurous spirit lives deep inside him as he travels West. There, he discovers the Valley of Chips, Queen of the Hydros, Tarrytown, FBI, Madam Wu, diamonds and a Mexican connection. And then he embarks upon a final search for his rainbow.
