Honestly, I never understood the emotional toll the loss of a pet had on family. From the outside looking in, my attitude was just get another pet. It wasn’t until my daughter’s cat went missing. Watching her stand in the door calling his name and hurting when he would not respond. Birth from a song of the same title, this is a story of a little girl coming to terms with the lost of her pet.
