My Only Dream

This is the story of Kelli Francis (Manning) and Mark Alley. They met in high school and then life happened. College and careers got in the way of their one and only true dream, the dream of being together. Kelli finds herself married to another man but it appears her dreams will not allow her to forget Mark’s sapphire blue eyes or his crooked smile. She can feel that her marriage is in trouble, but she is uncertain what change has occurred. Kelli arrives at work one morning to a vase of beautiful red roses. Aren’t roses a symbol of love? Why would her husband (Clyde) send her flowers, especially when he has barley spoken a word to her. No kisses or touches either. The attached card is unsigned and she has no idea what the message means…it’s only two words. Kelli’s love of running keeps her mind at ease, until it doesn’t. Some things happen for a reason and she is about to find out why. She has spent so many years living her life, doing what she always dreamed of, or so she thought.

Mark Alley moved to Hawaii after his time in the military was over. He thought he could forget about Kelli, if he was as far away from Tennessee as he could get. A plane ride home was supposed to be quick and easy and then life happened…again. Mark finds himself without his good luck charm and then his life is changed…forever. He dreams of roses, red lips, and brown eyes that hold the faintest gold flecks. It doesn’t take long for him to realize that time and distance wasn’t enough to erase the memory of his only dream.
