"Drugs, Women, and Alcohol are the key to my success." The story is based on some "true events" that took place inside a few of the New York City and Florida nightclubs in the early 2000s. Some of the book characters are still in prison, but others come out free, doing exactly what they were doing before. They only know how to be criminals. They never work for others. They cannot obey rules.
There is no one else like the main character, and I mean it. Thirty years ago he was an illegal immigrant boy who came to find a better life in the United States, and he became a multi-millionaire with the assistance of the government. He was never a criminal, but he had to become one to survive. It was a dead end for him, and he had to make a few decisions, some of them successful, but most of the time he was wrong.
He tried hard to follow all the rules and regulations. As a kid living in Greece, he was the best student in his class, a boy scout, and a good athlete. Every Sunday after church, he concentrated on his homework, dreaming of a better life.
"Timing and Circumstances can change your life and dreams in seconds."
I met the main character thru the years. He never talked about his personal life because he wasn't proud at all. It felt like peeling an onion, layer by layer. I never knew his real lifestyle until the day he gave up on becoming a citizen of this country. He still lives somewhere in the New York area and never pays taxes. Names had to be changed for the safety of all of us.
