Gabrielle’s Big Race

Gabrielle was just turning two years old and loved going on adventures with her parents.

She watched with excitement people on the beach running, some slowly, some at a medium pace, and some running very fast. Gabrielle’s parents would run with her on the beach and to their surprise, Gabrielle was very fast.

A rewarding adventure was going to the park and chasing squirrels. Although she would run very fast, Gabrielle could never catch them.

Gabrielle’s parents were so impressed with Gabrielle’s interest in running and her running ability, they registered her in a children’s charity run to raise funds for the Children’s Hospital.

Gabrielle practiced running with her mother and father every Saturday morning. This was her happy time, running, running, and running.

The day of the big race Gabrielle was ready for the quarter-mile run, and she began her run.
