Exploring the Bible and How to Study It

Exploring the Bible is written to help those of you who find the Bible difficult to read and understand.
What comes to mind when you think "Bible"? After all, it is a book and I doubt that you ever pick up a book and say to yourself, "This is a new thing for me. Does it have a user guide?" As long as it is written in a language you can read that book is like most other books.
What type of book is the Bible? It is non-fiction, but on trying to read it from beginning to end, most people do not get very far before giving up. Is anthology a better fit? The Bible is, indeed, a series of articles by different authors around the central topic of God's love and his relationship with people. Dipping in and choosing what to read does not satisfy either. At any point, what you are reading relates to something that was written about earlier in the Bible and also points towards something you will read later on.
The Bible does not follow the standard instructions for reading a book. It is as though the "handbook for our Christian life" needs its own handbook. This book aims to create a user guide specifically for the Bible so that you can read it with understanding and benefit from all it has to reveal to you.
Sections include:
The history of the Bible Can I trust the Bible? How the Bible is translated Choosing a Bible for yourself Simply guide to studying the Bible
