This story is about divine love, and takes place in Bucharest, Constanta and the island of Capri. As a little girl, Adele is enamored with her best friend's brother Gabriel who is a famous writer and twenty years her senior. She reads all of his books. The day she turns fourteen, she goes to one of his book launches, and she walks on his street at night to catch a glimpse of him writing at his desk by the window. Then life takes her away.

Her family moves to Constanta where she meets her high school love, and later she moves to Washington. Throughout the years, Adele cannot stop thinking about Gabriel who is her first, and one true love.

Gabriel has a daughter, grandchildren, and a successful career, and lives his life without knowing Adele, but with the feeling that his love is coming soon.

They meet one rainy afternoon in Bucharest when she walks into a book store where he is hosting a podcast. She accidentally ends up in his arms and instantly recognizes him. Gabriel does not know her, but he knows right away that she is the one he's been waiting for.

And their love story starts now, and what a love story it is....
