Porchia is a 17 year old who has been struggling with adult issues every since she was a child. Everyone tells her to believe in God and pray. She does not believe in God because all of the bad things that happens in the world. God has never been around to answers any of her prayers. If there is a God, why don’t every child have parents? If there is a God why do bad people outlive the good ones? If there is a God, why are children being molested by their fathers? If there is a God, why are people worshiping pimps who claim to be Men of God? If there is a God, he will have to personally reveal himself to her. Porchia’s character is designed to help us look at some of the issues that takes place in our communities that we may be afraid to discuss. In this book, you will run across atheism, incest, rape, homosexuality, and suicide, to name just a few. Although this book is highly entertaining, it is also an opportunity for us to open our hearts and minds to possibilities and solutions. This is not a book about despair, but one about opportunities.
