Just Another African Adventure

The young and adventurous Ellen Sanderson, joins friends in Africa to start a new life where she finds her heart captured by the exotic landscape and majestic wildlife. On the vibrant expatriate scene she falls in love with the charismatic and outwardly successful Daniel du Plessis, and after a whirlwind romance the couple marry, but it is soon apparent that Daniel hides a tortured soul beneath a curtain of alcohol and gambling. His behaviour towards her gradually changes with terrifying consequences. The battle to rescue her marriage and her husband from escalating alcoholism almost destroys Ellen until finally she is persuaded to make life changing decisions to save her self and their child. Set against the background of war-torn Rhodesia in the 70’s, this is a story of how one woman survived extreme adversity with courage and love against all odds.
