Julie was devastated when she had to leave her island home. Adjusting to her new life in a northern country was hard until her mother found just the thing to bring Julie comfort. Just Like Caesar is the late Gloria Grant’s story of her family’s immigration to Canada and a simple gesture that made the transition much easier to handle for her youngest daughter. This is a culmination of Gloria’s dream to see her children’s book published: a dream fulfilled with the help of her daughter, who published the book and her granddaughter, who illustrated it.
