Krista-link-a-la and the Size 13 Shoes

Krista-link-a-la is a precocious 8 year old immigrant girl from Eastern Europe. Her family settles in a remote rural town in Northern Ontario, to make a better life for themselves. Surrounding herself with friends from the street she lives on, she finds a clever way to build a bridge for herself between the old world she was born into, and the new world she must make her way in. She writes a play ! A clever, heart warming homage to the classic Cinderella tale- she takes advantage of what could be thought of as a challenge ( big feet for a little girl) and turns the tables - by casting herself as Cinderella with her glass slipper size 13 red running shoe, belonging to her older brother.
